The College of Music at the University of Colorado Boulder is thrilled to host the 2026 Guitar Summer Academy!

Overview
Registration

The CU Boulder Guitar Summer Academy offers a five-day immersion into the world of the classical guitar led by world-class faculty and guest artists at the newly renovated Imig Music Building on the beautiful University of Colorado Boulder campus.

Designed for high school students, participants will experience:

Five individual lessons—including one lesson on early music repertoire with Nigel North;
daily performance classes;
two lectures on music + research;
two Dalcroze workshops;
one Alexander Technique workshop;
three guest artist recitals;
entry to all Summer Academy concerts; and
a final performance featuring all Summer Academy participants!

Registration

The CU Boulder Guitar Summer Academy is a tuition-free program open to all high school students (limit 12 participants).

To apply, interested students must download, complete and submit a registration form (link below), and submit a short video of their playing. All registration materials must be received by Sunday, March 15, 2026.
