WHAT ARE MASSAGE CLINICS AT CU-BOULDER?

Free 30 minute table massages offered for College of Music students by interns from Boulder College of Massage Therapy through the Musicians’ Wellness Initiative.  Interns get hours towards certification; you get a free massage!

MASSAGE SIGN-UP RULES:

1. FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED
A list with openings for massages will be posted on the Wellness Board (located at the bottom of the stairs leading up to the music library) Monday the week of the massage clinic. Students must limit sign-up to one massage per student per month.  Faculty & Staff may reserve unclaimed spots beginning Wednesday at 5 p.m.

2. NO SHOWS
If you do not show up for a scheduled appointment, you will not be allowed to sign up for the rest of the semester.

3. CANCELLATION
You must find a replacement if you cannot attend your scheduled time.  If you cannot find someone, email musicwellness@colorado.edu as soon as possible. Without 24 hours notice, this will still be treated as a “no show.”

4. RESPECT
This is a training program for massage therapists. Please arrive on time and fill out an honest evaluation following your massage.

5. DRESS CODE
You may wear a bathing suit (or sports bra), which will help the therapist focus on areas of tension that might be difficult to address while fully clothed.  Of course, you are welcome to remain fully clothed.

WHEN ARE THE MASSAGE CLINICS HELD?

Massage Clinics are held Thursdays and Fridays when the BCMT is in session.  BCMT semesters do not match up exactly with CU semesters — check the Wellness Board (located at the bottom of the stairs leading up to the music library) for more details.
