New Required Nondiscrimination, Harassment, and Reporting Course
Dear colleagues,
On behalf of our partners at the Office of Institutional Equity and Compliance, please see the updated training announcement. The University of Colorado has launched a new mandatory training course for employees titled CU: Nondiscrimination, Sexual Misconduct, and Reporting. This course replaces the previous version (CU: Discrimination and Sexual Misconduct – CU Boulder and System) and is now standardized across all four campuses.
Hello,
The University of Colorado has released a new mandatory employee training course, CU: Nondiscrimination, Sexual Misconduct, and Reporting - u00283 which replaces the previous training, CU: Discrimination and Sexual Misconduct – CU Boulder and System– s10007. The new training is standardized across all four campuses and covers the policies that OIEC is responsible for to ensure that the campus community understands prohibited conduct, options for reporting, the obligation to report policy-related concerns, resolution processes, what resources are available for support, how to offer support to others, and safe and effective strategies for addressing concerns or intervening as bystanders or witnesses.
The Office of Institutional Equity and Compliance considers the previous version of the course as valid for fulfilling the training requirement. Meaning, employees are not required to complete the new training if they have completed the previous version of the course within the past 3 years. The previous version of the course is no longer available, and links have been updated to route employees to the updated version in Percipio. The Non-Compliance Report for Sexual Misconduct, Discrimination and Harassment HCM query has been updated to include this new course, as the updated course has a new HCM Course ID (u00283). Access step-by-step instructions for accessing this query. To clarify, this report will provide you with a list of all active employees who have not completed any version of the training (S10007 or U00283) during the selected timeframe.
CU Boulder requires all employees (faculty and staff) and affiliates to complete the training within 30 days of hire and every three years after initial completion. Some departments may require completion of this training more frequently. Emeritus faculty and POIs who have any contact with employees or students, either in person or through electronic communication, even if only for research purposes, are required to complete the training.
The required Percipio training can be accessed through the Office of Institutional Equity and Compliance website: Employees (Faculty, Staff, & Affiliates) | Office of Institutional Equity and Compliance | University of Colorado Boulder.
Please email the Office of Institutional Equity and Compliance at oiectraining@colorado.edu if you have any questions. We appreciate your continued partnership in ensuring training compliance!
