How to Register

Eligibility Requirements

Eligible students must be:

• Enrolled in a CU Boulder doctoral program and must have passed their comprehensive exam and be admitted to candidacy by December 1, 2025.
• Students must also be enrolled for spring 2026 and expect to graduate in May 2026 or later. Graduates or alumni are not eligible.

Application Materials

To register to compete, students must apply via the link below. You will need to include:

• Contact information (name, university email, home department, advisor name, etc.).
• Working title of your 3MT® presentation (does not need to be finalized)
• Brief description of your research for your 3MT topic (one-two paragraphs).

Registration for the 2025-26 3MT® Competition at CU Boulder is now closed. Information about the 2026-27 competition will be available in fall 2026.
