National Center for Faculty Development & Diversity (NCFDD)

CU Boulder has an institutional membership with the National Center for Faculty Development & Diversity (NCFDD), which offers professional development, training and mentoring to graduate students and postdocs. Resources available include writing programs, guest expert webinars, multi-week courses, professional reminders, a dissertation success program, peer mentoring and more. With the university’s membership, most of the resources are free of charge.

ImaginePhD is a free online career exploration and planning tool for PhD students and postdoctoral scholars in the humanities and social sciences.

CIRES Early Career Guide

This web site is a portal to resources to help graduate students and early career researchers navigate the next steps of their professional careers. Additionally, there are many resources for graduate students and post-docs available at CU Boulder. This is a one-stop portal to connect to these resources and learn about all that is going on. 

Association for Women in Science

CU Boulder is an institutional partner of the Association for Women in Science (AWIS). AWIS is the largest multidisciplinary organization for women in STEM dedicated to achieving equity and full participation of women in all disciplines and across all employment sectors. AWIS reaches more than 100,000 professionals in STEM around the world. AWIS is a testament to CU Boulder's support of diversity in STEM. AWIS provides undergraduate/graduate students, postdoctoral scholars, and faculty with professional development and leadership training to foster success. As a result of CU Boulder’s partnership with AWIS, all interested graduate students enrolled in a STEM program are eligible to receive a one year free membership in AWIS.
