- In an effort to help boost Ph.D. student enrollment, the department is able to provide each faculty member with one international Ph.D. applicant fee waiver during the Fall 2025 admissions process.
- We have a list of international applicants who would like to request a fee waiver, along with their CVs and some basic information about their qualifications for the PhD. There are already roughly 180 potential applicants in this spreadsheet, and they have indicated a research area of interest, and in most cases, advisor and research area of interest. the link can be accessed here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1cjsGaP_MSZZOfGh5Qcmv2EqNu2luI77z8GQD6yYOJDQ/edit?usp=sharing and Lori will grant access as requested. If you have any questions about this process, please feel free to reach out to Lori or Bri.
- Domestic students can automatically receive a fee waiver from the graduate school if they apply early enough; please see this link for more information and pass it along to any domestic applicants you may be in communication with: https://www.colorado.edu/engineering/admissions/graduate-students/graduate-application-fee-waiver

ECEE Enhancing Campus Computing Security
The campus is implementing an initiative to make computing on campus more secure. CEAS is aggressively pursuing this initiative. ECEE is in the first phase of the initiative which is working with OIT to understand the scope and details of the project. This initiative entails that ECEE staff will work with every faculty member, graduate student working in labs, and each staff employee to identify every computer in use in offices and labs and record the requested information. The start date has not yet been determined. Update notices will be put in this newsletter and announcements made during department meetings. Questions about this initiative should be directed to Robin.Elliott@colorado.edu.
