International Students - English Proficiency
English proficiency may be demonstrated through any of the following:
Current GS Minimum scores
- Duolingo Graduate School minimum (120)
- IELTS Graduate School minimum (6.0)
- TOEFL Graduate School minimum (75)
The Department of Anthropology complies with the Graduate School’s criteria for English language proficiency, which exempts students from select countries from mandatory TOEFL or equivalent certification. Please see the Graduate School website for the complete list of exempt countries and for more information on English language proficiency.
