Due to the structure of graduate courses, admission to graduate programs in spring or summer is generally discouraged. See the Graduate Admissions FAQ for detailed information about specific test score requirements and how to submit all items.

**The statement should be written in essay form and provide relevant educational, work history and background information, such as how you became interested in the field of applied mathematics and how your background has prepared you for graduate study, as well as your educational and professional goals. While a résumé may is strongly encouraged, it does not suffice as a personal statement.
