Sarah has worked in the Education Abroad office since 2005 in a variety of capacities. She has a Masters degree in Public Health from the Colorado School of Public Health (2015). As an undergraduate at CU Boulder, she studied abroad on the CIEE: Rennes, France program. After completing her undergraduate degree in Molecular Biology and French at CU Boulder and working for a year as a Peer Advisor for the CU Education Abroad office, she spent 6 months in Tunisia doing an internship at AMIDEAST through AIESEC. She also spent a year in France as a teaching assistant in a French high school. She has led high school students abroad to France in Summer 2006 and 2010 as a group leader for the Experiment in International Living. She is the past Chair of the NAFSA Education Abroad Regulatory Practice Committee (2021-2022). In her various roles, she is sensitive to the persistent inequities in students studying abroad, and strive to work with students from backgrounds that are often underrepresented: students with a low GPA, veterans, DACA and undocumented students, among others.
