Semester-long Programs

Our semester-length programs include a variety of options and program formats.

Your learning takes place outside of the classroom on a field study program. Field study programs can include research or internship work, but either way, the focus is on getting you hands-on experience within a specific field! Depending on the program, these might be located in big cities, small towns, or rural research stations.

Students with interest in these topics might be most interested in field studies:

  • Climate change and sustainability
  • Public Health
  • Political science and international relations
  • Development and social justice

We offer lots of field study programs!

Enrolling at a university abroad lets you take courses at a host university with local students. These programs are located in mid sized or large cities.

A Note on Safety

Every location listed has years of experience hosting U.S. students, strong local staff, orientations, and emergency support. Safety abroad looks a lot like safety at home: awareness, guidance, and community.

Many students say they feel more supported abroad than they expected. If you or your parents have concerns about this in any region of the world, please contact us!
