Certificate in Interdisciplinary Honors Studies

The undergraduate certificate in interdisciplinary honors studies allows students to engage in interdisciplinary scholarship, cultivate critical-thinking skills and become engaged community members. Housed in the Arts and Sciences Honors Program, the certificate can complement a student’s specialization in any field.

Academic Plan & Requirements

The program is open to any degree-seeking undergraduate student in the College of Arts and Sciences with a cumulative GPA of 3.3 or higher. 

The certificate program requires 18 credits, half of which must be completed at the upper-division level. Students must take three elective courses and the following required courses: 

  • Honors Diversity Seminar 
  • Honors Internship Course 
  • Honors Capstone Seminar
