CU Boulder branding

Check the promo kits or "Branded Promotional and Business Resources" (above); they may have what you need.

When in doubt, check in with Daniel Leonard when you need to do something new with CU Boulder or our individual (ex, Destination Startup, I-Corps, Ascent, etc.) program branding. Generally, though, you can find more information about our visual identity at the CU Boulder branding website.

Logos

  • Venture Partners logo
    • Important: To build and amplify the university's reputation, CU Boulder has rules and best practices for how CU logos can be used. Please check in with the communications team before sharing a CU logo file with someone who is outside of CU.
  • Venture Partners program wordmarks (ex: Ascent, I-Corps, LVC) are a little tricky design-wise. If you need them for a presentation, check out the wordmarks provided in the presentation template (above) and for other uses, reach out to Daniel Leonard, who will get you what you need!

Fonts

  • "Helvetica Neue" is the official font of the CU Boulder visual identity.
    • "Helvetica Neue" is a licensed font, if you need a license and font file, contact Daniel Leonard.
    • Licenses are limited to a single device; font files should not be transferred to unlicensed devices, so using "Helvetica Neue" in collaborative or shared documents is not recommended.
    • Use Helvetica Neue when a visual material will be exported in an image format for display or printing.
      • Ex: Exporting slides as a .png to insert in a shared presentation or exporting a .pdf flyer to print and post.
  • "Roboto" is the official web application font for the CU Boulder visual identity—Ex: All of CU Boulder's websites use Roboto.
    • "Roboto" is a free font that should be available in most applications.
  • If you do not need/want a license to use "Helvetica Neue" some excellent, free alternatives exist:
    • The standard "Helvetica," "Arial" and "Arial Nova" fonts are the the recommended substitutes that should be available to you in most applications.
