SACNAS, or the Society for Advancement of Chicanos/Hispanics & Native Americans in Science, hosts the National Diversity in STEM (NDiSTEM) Conference and much more.
SACNAS is an inclusive organization dedicated to fostering the success of Chicanos/Hispanics and Native Americans, from college students to professionals, in attaining advanced degrees, careers, and positions of leadership in STEM.
The SACNAS Annual Conference is the leading multidisciplinary and multicultural STEM conference in the country. Over the course of the event, college-level through professional attendees are immersed in cutting-edge STEM research, professional development sessions, motivational keynote speakers, and the Academic & Career Expo, as well as multicultural celebrations and traditions, and an inclusive and welcoming community of peers, mentors, and role models.

UR2PhD
Hosted by the Computing Research Association (CRA), the Undergraduate Research to PhD program (UR2PhD) aims to improve and increase mentored research experiences.
The Undergraduate Research to PhD program (“UR2PhD”, pronounced ‘you are to PhD’) engages undergraduate students, graduate students, faculty mentors, universities and colleges, and non-profits to increase the quantity and quality of mentored research experiences while sustaining student interest in research.
Computing Research Association (CRA) was formed in 1972 as the Computer Science Board (CSB), which provided a forum for the chairs of Ph.D. granting computer science departments to discuss issues and share information. The mission of the CRA is to catalyze computing research by engaging industry, government, and academia. CRA executes this mission by leading the computing research community, informing policymakers and the public, and promoting the development of a welcoming, responsible, and innovative computing research community.
- A pre-research experience course for undergrads who haven’t participated in research yet but are interested in developing skills.
- An undergraduate research training course to build fundamental research skills. This course is intended for emerging researchers working together on a research project.
- Research engagement & awareness workshops to increase understanding of research, research careers, and pathways.
- Graduate school application workshops to prepare you for applying to doctoral computing programs.
- Funding to support program participants in continuing in their research journeys.
oSTEM
Out in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (oSTEM) is a professional association for LGBTQ+ people and allies in the STEM community.
Out in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (oSTEM), Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit professional association for LGBTQ+ people and allies in the STEM community. With over 150 collegiate chapters at colleges/universities and chapters in cities across the United States and abroad, oSTEM is the largest chapter-based organization focused on LGBTQ+ people in STEM.

The PhD Project
The PhD Project helps business professionals and students from various backgrounds earn PhDs so they can inspire and educate the next generation of business leaders.
The PhD Project was founded in 1994 with the goal of creating more role models in the front of business classrooms. Since then, they helped more than 1,500 members earn their doctoral degree and currently have 240+ students in PhD programs. The Annual Conference provides prospective doctoral students with a realistic look at every phase of the PhD journey while connecting them with current doctoral students, faculty members, business school representatives, and partner organizations.

Cientifico Latino, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) organization that aims to promote an environment of inclusivity in STEM and increase the number of scientists from underserved communities in higher education in the sciences through mentorship, open-access resources, and professional development opportunities.
They strive to provide a platform where everyone—regardless of ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, disability or immigration status—has equal access to fellowship and scholarship opportunities, and the chance to learn from their peers to becoming successful STEM professionals and related fields.

Pathways to Science
Institute for Broadening Participation (IBP) aims to increase diversity in the Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) workforce by providing resources and support.
The mission of the Institute for Broadening Participation (IBP) is to expand the STEM workforce. Since 2003, IBP has connected students from groups known to be underrepresented in STEM, with funding and research opportunities, and has provided faculty and administrators with tools and resources to help promote the positive factors that keep students on the STEM pathway into successful STEM careers.
