Payment Process for Group Conference Travel

Award Offers

UROP makes award offers in decision notices sent by email.

Award Acceptance

Faculty must accept or decline award offers using an online form linked in their decision notice by the deadline posted online. When funding is awarded, account managers are sent an email to confirm details of the transfer.

Funding Transfer

UROP pays Group Conference Travel Grants by transferring awarded funds as soon as possible after awards are issued. UROP follows up with an email to recipients with the journal entry  (JE#) of the transfer.

Student Payment

Faculty are expected to spend UROP funding according to the budgets outlined in awarded proposals and to track their expenses for potential audits.

Timeline for Group Conference Travel Grants

We transfer Group Conference Travel funds as soon as possible after awards are issued, but the exact transfer date depends on the availability of our finance team.

Developed and hosted in Boulder since 2018, UROP's Sidewalk Symposium invites undergraduates to share their research and creative presentations with chalk on campus walkways. UROP welcomes undergraduates at any stage of their project to participate.
