Student Grant Proposals
We offer two student grant types based on the student's involvement in the project's development, and one grant type for students travelling to present work at academic & professional conferences/exhibitions.
We offer two student grant types based on the student's involvement in the project's development, and one grant type for students travelling to present work at academic & professional conferences/exhibitions.
Assistantships provide funding to students to partner with a faculty mentor to help on an existing project.
Individual Grants allow students to take ownership of part or all of a project with an original proposal.
Individual Travel Grants support students sharing their work at academic and professional conferences.
The next deadline for student and faculty project grants will be February 13, 2026 (for proposals in Summer 2026 and Aca. Year 2026-27). This deadline applies to Assistantships, Individual Project Grants and Team Project Grants.
Individual and Group Conference Travel Grants are awarded on a rolling basis.
Return completed score sheets to UROP by Noon MT on Monday, March 30, 2026.
