Live virtual fitness classes with The Rec

Looking for ways to stay active while you’re at home? The Rec Center is hosting free live virtual fitness classes this week for you to enjoy.

  • April 27, 11 a.m. MDT: Mat Pilates 
  • April 28, noon MDT: Yoga Express
  • April 30, 4 p.m. MDT: Glutes, Core & More 

Space is limited, and registration is required for live classes. Participants will receive a Zoom link prior to the class.

Are you lonely? Let’s Chat

With social distancing and remote learning during the COVID-19 pandemic, it can be easy to feel lonely and isolated. Learn how to manage loneliness and gain skills and resources with Health and Wellness Services at two sessions this week:

  • April 28, 1–2 p.m. MDT
  • April 29, 2–3 p.m. MDT

Participants will need to sign in with their IdentiKey to join Zoom sessions.

Make face masks for CU critical-services workers

Critical-services workers on campus are in need of reusable masks to protect themselves and students they serve from the spread of COVID-19. To supplement campus supplies during this time of high demand, the Volunteer Resource Center is looking for volunteers to help create 1,000-plus cloth masks as soon as possible. If you have crafting and sewing capabilities and are able to contribute, sign up to help.

Pinterest & Popcorn: Create your own air plant terrarium

5 p.m. MDT Zoom
Sign up to create your own plant terrarium! The first 15 people to sign up will receive a free craft kit sent to their preferred address. Then, hop on the Zoom call to participate in the group craft.

Help welcome new Buffs to CU

Be a part of a new welcome video to share with the incoming class of 2024 this summer! The following is needed from CU students to include in the welcome video:

  • Photos of students with welcome signs
  • Short video clips of students sharing welcome messages
  • Short video clips of students with advice messages for new Buffs
  • Short video clips with why you love being a Buff

Help welcome new Buffs to CU, and submit your photos and video clips through @CUBoulderLife on Instagram and Facebook by April 29.
