students on computersBuff Portal is CU Boulder’s new online student portal that will replace the student tab in MyCUInfo this coming fall. As part of the Unified Student Experience (USE) project, Buff Portal is the first major deliverable in an ongoing campuswide effort to create a more seamless online and in-person experience for students.

The Buff Portal team is actively partnering with students and campus offices at every step of the design process to create the new portal. Students also are providing feedback on the beta site through the Test Buff Portal campaign.

Timeline

Buff Portal beta is currently live for students, with new functionality being added every day. The official release of Buff Portal will be announced to students in October, in conjunction with the retirement of the student tab in MyCUInfo.

How this may affect you

Faculty and staff will be asked to refer students to Buff Portal to complete transactions and explore campus information. In the future, the Buff Portal team may be reaching out to your office to collaborate on an aspect of the student experience in Buff Portal. The team would like to thank the campus partners and many students who have collaborated on the project already:

  • Division of Student Affairs
  • Advising units from each school and college
  • Undergraduate Education
  • Graduate School
  • Bursar’s Office
  • CU Book Store
  • Office of Financial Aid
  • Office of Information Technology
  • New Student and Family Programs
  • Office of the Registrar
  • Strategic Relations and Communications

If you have any questions, would like to get involved in future planning phases or would like to see a demonstration of the new portal, please complete the Contact Us form on the project website, and the Buff Portal team will follow up accordingly.
