Xochitl Ryan

Xochitl’s work leverages data science, statistical modeling, and transdisciplinary collaboration to analyze and advance institutional sustainability research. In her role with the Sustainability Research Initiative (SRI) at CU Boulder, she conducts strategic analyses and develops data driven frameworks to identify campus wide expertise, assess research strengths, and provide evidentiary support for strategic programming. Her research interests center on using data, machine learning, and evidence based action to solve complex environmental and community challenges.

Xochitl holds a B.S. in Physics from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, and an M.S. in Data Science from the University of Colorado Boulder. Committed to public impact research, her previous projects range from simulating systems analogous to biological processes, assessing the impact of COVID 19 legislation on Domestic Violence rates in Colorado, and is currently is building analytical tools that support interdisciplinary research networks across the CU Boulder campus.
