Bonnie Patterson

Bonnie Patterson is vice president and general manager for the Civil Space strategic business unit for BAE Systems, Inc. Space & Mission Systems. In this role, she holds top level strategy and profit and loss responsibility for our Civil Space business.

Previously, Patterson served as the senior director of programs for Civil Space. In this role, she was responsible for program execution across the Civil portfolio. Prior to joining BAE Systems, Patterson served as the deputy director for civil and commercial imaging at L3Harris in Rochester, NY. She spent several years as the program manager for the optical telescope assembly for the Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope. During her tenure, she maintained budget and schedule within two percent preceding and during the COVID-19 pandemic, including the early completion of the primary and secondary mirrors. Proceeding her program management career, Patterson served in a technical and leadership capacity for over ten years at Eastman Kodak company and affiliates and holds five U.S. patents.

Patterson holds a B.S. in mechanical engineering from Valparaiso University and an M.S. in mechanical engineering from the University of Illinois.
