Introducing the Program Management Office (PMO)
The Program Management Office (PMO)—housed within the Research & Innovation Office—is a campuswide partner offering strategic guidance and expert program and project management to strengthen research and sponsored programs.
- For faculty, the PMO can provide support for competitive proposals, complex awards and partnered project management, so PIs can focus on scholarship.
- For administrators, the PMO offers efficiency gains, reduced burden, and data‑informed decisions that expand capacity.
- For project managers, the PMO can contribute lifecycle guidance, tools and coaching to keep teams aligned and work on track.
The PMO builds campus talent and systems through targeted training, professional development and a community of practice, safeguarding research investments and amplifying CU Boulder’s impact.
