Thomas Erik Angerhofer (MM ’06, DMA ’20)

Angerhofer serves as the director of opera + musical theatre at the University of North Alabama. While much of his work and research has been focused on acoustic voice pedagogy, particularly acoustic and articulatory phonetics as they relate specifically to singing, his Graduate Assistantship and Graduate Part Time Instructorship at CU Boulder provided him invaluable experience in stage direction and dramatic training for lyric theatre. While at the CU Boulder College of Music, Angerhofer was mentored by the director of opera studies, eventually teaching a section of opera workshop and assistant directing a number of outstanding guest directors.
