Shih-Han (Erika) Chiu joined the College of Music advancement team in 2022. She works closely with students, staff, faculty, alums and donors to build positive stewardship and relationships with all members of our college community.
A native of Taiwan, Chiu has extensive experience as a musician, educator and arts administrator. She recently served as conference associate for the International Double Reed Society 2022 Conference at the University of Colorado Boulder. Previously, she served as an executive assistant for the Asian Double Reed Association and worked as a program coordinator with several New York-based nonprofit organizations.
A proud CU alumna with a DMA in bassoon performance and pedagogy, Chiu has also taught and performed in Asia, Europe and the United States.
Outside of work, Chiu enjoys cooking and traveling with her husband, a professional opera singer who’s also an alumnus of our College of Music.
