Kristofer Twadell

Kristofer Twadell is a recording engineer who specializes in classical music recording, as well as a film music composer. Recently he worked as a recording engineer at two summer classical music festivals: Aspen Music Festival and School in 2025 and Interlochen Arts Camp in 2024. He has also recorded contemporary works including a concept album for the new musical “Loving This Year,” and for his own film scores and compositions.

Some of his recent film scoring projects include the short films “A Little Chaos” and “Auras: The Afterparty,” both produced by the University of North Carolina School of the Arts. “The Lack of It”—a short documentary Twadell co-composed with Daniel Stocker and produced by IFS Internationale Filmschule Köln and UNCSA—was selected to screen at the RiverRun International Film Festival in 2025. He also co-composed with Nick Farmer on the animated film “Paper Warriors” produced by UCF SVAD.

Twadell’s classical compositions have been premiered by the San Francisco Contemporary Music Players and the Greek Chamber Music Project. He earned an MFA in film music composition from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts and a BM in technology and applied composition from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. He also studied at Interlochen Arts Academy.
