The OISC Flight Operations Department is in charge of overseeing all university UAS operations. This department was created to provide an unbiased view on UAS safety and compliance to various rules and regulations. As such the Flight Operations Department conducts training to certify UAS pilots, evaluates UAS for airworthiness certification, helps other university departments plan or fly different missions, interfaces with other regulatory agencies such as the FAA, and much more other related tasks.
