At the University of Colorado Boulder, safety is a top priority, and the Division of Public Safety (DPS) takes its responsibility to protect the campus seriously. DPS advances campus safety through an integrated public safety model that brings together community policing, operational excellence, physical security, emerging technology, drones, and innovative tools that support prevention, preparedness, and effective response. By aligning people, training, and modern capabilities, we strengthen our ability to protect campus while remaining adaptable in an evolving safety landscape.

At the same time, we recognize that safety cannot be achieved by any single division alone. Even with strong tools, training, and professional response, lasting safety is a shared responsibility.
