Operations

Public Safety Operations is a vital division within CU Boulder’s Division of Public Safety, bringing together several units that support safety, security, and coordinated response across campus. The team helps campus community members before, during, and after incidents through information gathering, analysis, and communication. 

Operations oversees safety planning and support for a wide range of university events—including athletics, concerts, commencements, guest speakers, and other large campus gatherings. The team also manages all university flight operations, supporting both event‑related safety and global research missions that operate across multiple continents. Operations plays a key role in assisting campus community members in need and strengthening overall safety through proactive coordination and readiness. 

Public Safety Operations serves as the umbrella division for several specialized units that help protect life and property, enhance emergency decision‑making, and maintain a safe and resilient environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors.
