Sick person on couch

Whether you’re feeling sick, stressed or depressed, CU Boulder has resources that are here to help you get back on track. Health and Wellness Services offers a wide variety of resources that are available on campus.

Do you have a cold, strep throat or other illness?

  • CU Boulder Medical Services has a 24/7 nurse line that can help you determine if you should be seen by a health care provider or can recommend at-home self-care options. If you need to be seen, you can visit Wardenburg Health Center on central campus or the Health and Wellness Clinic in the Village Center at Will Vill.
  • Health Promotion provides free illness prevention and cold care supplies including hand sanitizer, tea, tissues, cough drops, reusable thermometers and salt (for gargling). Their office is located on the third floor of Wardenburg Health Center.
  • Free flu shots will be available starting October 1 at various locations on campus including Wardenburg Health Center and the Recreation Center.

Are you feeling stressed, overwhelmed or depressed?

  • Counseling and Psychiatric Services (CAPS) offers confidential, on-campus mental health and psychiatric services for a variety of concerns. They have free workshops and therapy groups covering a variety of topics including anxiety, depression, relationships, time management, procrastination and mindfulness. If you are unsure about what may be a good fit for you, CAPS also offers informal consultations across campus through their Let’s Talk program and walk-in hours Monday – Friday 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. in the C4C.
  • Physical activity and exercise are a great way to help manage stress. All fee-paying students have access to the Rec Center. You just need to bring your Buff OneCard for entry!

Are you in pain or have an injury?

  • Medical Services offers a variety of health care services to help with injury and pain management, including physical therapy, acupuncture, orthopedic care, chiropractic care and massage therapy. X-ray services are also available on-site for students with more serious injuries that are not life- or limb-threatening.
  • If you get injured at the Rec Center, you can visit the Injury Care Center to be evaluated by a certified athletic trainer. The clinic offers evaluations and referrals, first aid and emergency care, injury prevention techniques, stretching tips, taping services and more.
