Center for Teaching & Learning
The Center for Teaching & Learning (CTL) supports CU’s community of educators through free consultations, teaching resources, programs, seminars, workshops, and other events!
Our work aims to cultivate attitudes toward teaching that are open, curious, and innovative. As a Center, we invite educators to an open, common space where all are welcome to explore teaching practices, pose questions, have brave conversations, take creative risks, and embrace intellectual humility.
Each month we publish a newsletter that includes timely teaching strategies and resources, center updates, and upcoming events of interest to the campus teaching community. Sign-up to receive updates delivered to your inbox.
CTL and ASSETT: Now One Unified Team
As of May 2025, the Center for Teaching & Learning (CTL) and ASSETT (Arts & Sciences Support of Education Through Technology) have officially merged into a single unit, now known simply as CTL.
This merger builds on years of collaboration—shared office space, joint projects, coordinated programming, and a unified newsletter—all in support of teaching and learning at CU Boulder. By bringing together ASSETT’s expertise in educational technology with CTL’s broader campus-wide mission, we are now proud to serve all colleges and schools at CU Boulder.
Though ASSETT’s name is no longer in use, its work lives on through CTL’s expanded services. Together, we’re enhancing the learning experience by supporting varied teaching approaches, fostering a sense of belonging in the classroom, and helping educators reach a wide range of learners.
We Serve All Educators at CU Boulder, Including:
- Tenured & Tenure-Track Faculty
- Teaching Professors
- Lecturers
- Postdoctoral Scholars
- Graduate Students
- Staff
