From the Dean: Welcome to spring semester, Grad Buffs

Dear graduate students,

Welcome to the spring semester! I hope everyone had a wonderful break and was able to take some much-needed time off to disconnect and unwind.

As I think about the year to come, I’m optimistic. Although this past year has brought significant challenges for higher education, and for graduate education in particular, the Graduate School has risen to meet the moment. The school, along with other units across the university, has been working tirelessly to ensure that we—along with our students—are well positioned going into the new year. We’ve done that by shifting our priorities and adjusting where needed so that we can remain flexible and resilient in the face of an ever-changing higher education landscape.

One thing that has not changed, however, is our commitment to you. We remain firmly dedicated to you and your ability to get a world-class education or to study, research or create whatever it is you’re passionate about. That also extends to ensuring that you have the resources and training that you need as you move through your educational journey.

I encourage everyone to take full advantage of everything that the Graduate School and CU Boulder have to offer, whether they be our many workshops and professional development opportunities, Career Services to prepare for your time after CU, or even the events hosted within your unit.

Best of luck to everyone this spring and I hope you have a great semester.

Take care,

Scott Adler
