A teaching portfolio is a collection of selected documents authored by you, recording your teaching philosophy and your teaching performance. It is composed of documented evidence from a variety of sources, not limited to student ratings. It provides context for your teaching.
We encourage all teachers to compile a teaching portfolio. The teaching portfolio gives one the opportunity to reflect on one's teaching, in theory and practice. It also enables professors to work within the tenure guidelines of any department. The method helps one develop a portfolio that suits one's individual style of teaching. At your request, an FTEP associate consults with you during this process.
If you would like more information, please register for a consultation.
FTEP offers its services in Teaching Portfolio to "continuing" members of the UCB faculty only.
We cannot accept requests after Thanksgiving break in the fall or after Spring break in the spring.
