CU Boulder Provost Russell Moore has announced he is soliciting nominations for students, faculty, staff and external community members to serve on the new search advisory committee for the dean of the College of Engineering and Applied Science.
Members of the campus community are invited to submit nominations, including self-nominations, via the search advisory committee member nomination form by Sept. 13. Moore intends to seat the advisory committee by the end of September and name a new dean during the spring 2022 semester.
ProReady is a college-wide initiative to prepare every student for career success in their chosen field. A ProReady Partner is any faculty member, staff or alumnus connected to the college who supports the career and professional development of students. Join an interactive training this fall to learn more about ProReady and become an active contributor in the ProReady Partner network!

As the new semester begins, the college is once again offering technology devices for loan to help with your teaching needs.
The college offers document cameras, pen-enabled displays and tablets, voice amplifiers, and a limited supply of headset mics to borrow for the semester. These are available to instructional faculty members and TAs who are teaching in the current semester.
Equipment checkout is available on a first come, first served basis from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays at the front desk of the Integrated Teaching and Learning Laboratory (ITLL). Visit the Teaching Tech webpage for more information.
Faculty Awards
Jay McMahon, Nisar Ahmed and MortezaLahijanian of Smead Aerospace received a two-year, $997,400 award from NASA (Washington DC Headquarters) for “Expert-Informed Autonomous Science Planning for In-situ Observations and Discoveries.”
Zoya Popovic of electrical, computer and energy engineering received a four-year, $550,000 award from Coldquanta, Inc. (Prime DARPA) for “Rydberg Atomic Vapor Electrometry (RAVE).”
Daniel Scheeres of Smead Aerospace received a three-year, $1.06 million award from Air Force Office of Scientific Research (FA9550-21-1-0332) titled “Space Domain Awareness in Cislunar Space.”
