Planning Your Transfer
Prior to submitting your application, here are a few things you can do to get ready and to understand what courses will transfer to CU Boulder.
We practice a holistic admission review process, taking into account a variety of primary and secondary factors as they relate to your projected success in our competitive academic environment. You will be considered on an individual basis relative to a prediction of your academic success in the college to which you apply.
To make your transfer to CU Boulder as easy as possible, the Office of Admissions has partnered with Transferology—a transfer planning and online credit resource. If you are interested in transferring credit to CU Boulder we encourage you to create a Transferology account to view your transferable credit, create a transfer plan, and/or see any remaining core coursework for your desired degree program.
- Go to www.transferology.com
- Click the 'Create an account' link
- Enter your information
- Record your user ID (email address you use to create the account) and password in a safe place
When you enter courses in your Transferology account, you will be able to view matches for schools that participate in Transferology. By following the links on this page, the University of Colorado Boulder will appear at the top of your list. Click on the percentage match box to view how the courses have been evaluated.
Matches: Indicates the specific courses you may be awarded after transferring, providing you have earned a grade of C- (1.7) or better.
Miss: Two types of misses are listed: courses that will not transfer and those that will transfer to this school if you take additional coursework (shown in gray).
Maybe: These are courses that have not been reviewed by CU-Boulder yet to determine transferability.
Transfer admission representatives are available to meet on a one-on-one basis with prospective transfer students to discuss a plan for transferring to CU Boulder. If you have already submitted an application and/or would like a transfer credit evaluation we suggest you attend one of our Transfer Information Sessions.
