Planning Your Transfer
Prior to submitting your application, here are a few things you can do to get ready and to understand what courses will transfer to CU Boulder.
We practice a holistic admission review process, taking into account a variety of primary and secondary factors as they relate to your projected success in our competitive academic environment. You will be considered on an individual basis relative to a prediction of your academic success in the college to which you apply.
Prospective students who are interested in transferring to CU Boulder and have not yet applied may schedule an appointment with an admission representative to learn more about the transfer admission process and ask questions about admission requirements and prerequisites in a one-on-one setting. These appointments are designed to help you create a plan to transfer to CU Boulder.
To get the most out of your transfer admission appointment, please bring the following items with you:
- Official or unofficial transcripts from all previous institutions
- Official or unofficial high school transcripts (if fewer than 24 credit hours have been completed or are in progress)
- Current course schedule or courses you plan to enroll in (if applicable)
Please be aware that transfer credit evaluations are not conducted during transfer admission appointments.
- Transfer admission appointments are 30 minutes long, held Monday through Friday from 9:00-11:00 a.m. and 2:00-4:00 p.m.
- To schedule your transfer admission appointment, please sign up through your MyCUBoulder account by clicking the 'Visit CU' tab, and then selecting 'Register for an event'. You can also contact us at 303-492-6301 or email@example.com to schedule an appointment.
