What is UROP?

There are many undergraduate research programs on campus, but UROP is the only university-level undergraduate research program at CU Boulder.

We offer funding options for undergraduates and faculty to form partnerships for projects in all majors, fields of study and professional practice; support individuals and groups presenting at conferences; host engaging events for students, staff and faculty to connect and grow; celebrate and enable mentorship; support student-led campus publications; collaborate broadly throughout campus; and work with national and global partners to advance best practices.

UROP Student Grants

Find a Mentor

All student grants require students to be mentored by an eligible project mentor, so this is the first step in applying for UROP funding.

Apply for Funding

Students can apply for UROP funding to help mentors on existing work, design their own projects and present work at conferences.
