From the Dean of Students: The election is almost here
As we all know, Tuesday, Nov. 8, is election day. For many of you, this might be your first opportunity to take part in an election. How exciting! And as Buffs we pride ourselves in being engaged citizens, and that includes exercising our right to vote.
CU Boulder Alerts: An FAQ
Last week, the university conducted its semi-annual test of the CU Boulder Alert system. This means that, if you are signed up, you should have received a test alert on your mobile device and via email. Here are a few FAQs on CU Boulder Alerts.
Veterans Day: Annual ceremony, memorial lounge grand opening
In honor of the nation's veterans, including CU Boulder faculty, staff and student veterans, the university will host its annual Veterans Day Ceremony on Friday, Nov. 11, at 11 a.m. in the Glenn Miller Ballroom at the University Memorial Center (UMC), followed by the grand opening of the newly-renovated Veterans Memorial Lounge.

Veteran appreciation and CU services
In honor of Veterans Day, CU would like to show appreciation for our veteran students and veteran dependents with Veteran Appreciation Week at The Rec, as well as remind the community of the veteran services currently offered at CU.
Book discussion and signing with author Ronald J. Stewart
Author Ronald J. Stewart will speak about his book "Then Comes a Wind," a story about a family's struggle to homestead in 1900s Nebraska, on Nov. 10. Stewart will sign copies of his book (which will be for sale at the event) immediately following the presentation.
