Juneteenth in Colorado
The June 19 holiday, Juneteenth, is a time to recognize and celebrate the freedom and self-determination of African Americans and the end of the Civil War. It also provides an opportunity to deepen our understanding of the nation's collective history. For some, this may mean attending an event, listening to a podcast, reading, or having conversations with classmates, colleagues, family and friends.
Driven to succeed: Leeds student wins global racing-inspired competition
Claire McCollough, who is completing her master's in accounting at CU's Leeds School of Business, has become the first university student to win the Alteryx Grand Prix, a data analytics competition, a year after placing fifth overall.
BVSD updates calendar to match CU Boulder spring break dates
The Boulder Valley School District has updated its 2022–23 academic calendar to align the district’s spring break dates with those of CU Boulder. For a number of years, CU Boulder’s and BVSD's spring break dates have matched, which is helpful to many CU Boulder employees and CU Boulder parents and families with students enrolled in the school district.

CU Boulder, Anschutz faculty to discuss gun violence in June 28 webinar
Faculty experts from CU Boulder and the CU Anschutz Medical Campus will join together in a webinar moderated by Chancellor DiStefano focused on the public health impacts of gun violence. The event—free and open to faculty, staff and students—will include an opportunity for questions and answers.
Catch Dead & Company shows June 17–18
Dead & Company is set to return to Folsom Field for performances in mid-June. The band features Mickey Hart, Bill Kreutzmann, John Mayer, Bob Weir, Oteil Burbridge and Jeff Chimenti.
Classroom in the sky: CU’s 10,000-foot Mountain Research Station turns 100
The public is invited to celebrate at a six-night, in-person seminar series with dates June 21–29, featuring talks from local artists and scientists over dinner at the newly renovated Wildrose Dining Hall.
