Several faculty members honored with 2016 CAREER Awards
For excellence in education and research — studying everything from flower pigmentation that can have nutritional value in fruits and vegetables, to how processes at the polar regions affect the world's climate — six of CU Boulder's own have received National Science Foundation awards.
Von Bleichert named manager of Facilities Management sustainability and resiliency
CU Boulder announced today that Ed von Bleichert has been named Facilities Management sustainability and resiliency program manager, effective Jan 1. Von Bleichert will be responsible for coordinating the many different sustainability functions across facilities management, as well as collaborating with different units across campus.
Again top in state for sending, receiving students internationally
CU Boulder enrolled more international students during the 2015-16 academic year and sent more students abroad during the 2014-15 academic year than any other higher education institution in Colorado, according to data released in the national Open Doors Report.
Women's cross country shoots for third NCAA title, men also aiming high
CU's top-ranked women's cross country team is set to compete at the 2016 NCAA Championships tomorrow, Nov. 19, while the men's team has now won two of four varsity races, including the Rocky Mountain Shootout and Pac-12 titles.

Sky-high harvest: Space gardening for astronauts
Graduate student Heather Hava has received several national awards for her research on developing new research tools for growing and maintaining fruits and vegetables in a space environment. And she wouldn't mind being among the first astronauts to reap the benefits of gardens grown in the low gravity of space.
