In congressional hearings, some are more equal than others
An analysis by CU Boulder linguist Chase Raymond and others has found that U.S. Senate chairpersons can add bias to hearings through how much they speak during hearings.
Want to know your mental health status? There’s an app for that
CU Boulder researchers have developed a new mobile app that categorizes mental health status based on speech patterns. Ultimately, it could be used as an adjunct for in-person therapy or to help monitor patients from afar.

The University Libraries have acquired more than 140 photos from premier photographer Dan Fong—images of concerts at Norlin Quad and Folsom Field including the Doobie Brothers, the Grateful Dead, Fleetwood Mac, Country Joe McDonald and Mountain.
CU Boulder team awarded Mellon grant for environmental futures seminar
A team at CU Boulder is working to expand the conversation around environmental futures and has been awarded $225,000 from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation in support of the effort.
Elementary school students document change at Norlin Library
Earlier this semester, third-grade students from University Hill Elementary School visited Norlin Library’s STEAM Gallery to participate in a community engagement event weaving together art and science in a variety of forms.
