Bikers riding up a canyon.Scheduled for Sunday, Sept. 10, the Elevations Credit Union Buffalo Bicycle Classic gathers cyclists of all abilities to ride in a scholarship fundraiser for students at the University of Colorado Boulder.

This year’s ride has nine courses for riders of all abilities. Boulder Canyon will be closed to westbound traffic for the Epic 100, Epic 75 and the 62-mile Dirty Epic gravel ride routes. There are courses heading north toward Carter Lake with distances of 35, 50, 70 and 100 miles and a family-friendly “Little Buff” route on the bike paths around Boulder.

The Buffalo Bicycle Classic has always been more than just a bike ride. The BBC scholarship fund raises money to support high-achieving, Colorado high school graduates in their academic pursuits at CU Boulder. Over 430 Buffalo Bicycle Classic scholars have graduated from CU Boulder. The ride has raised over $3.4 million since its inaugural year of 2003.
