DSCC Dialogues: De-stress check-in

The Dennis Small Cultural Center’s discussion-based program series DSCC Dialogues provides a safe space to have discussion around identity, community and world events. This week’s event offers a de-stress check-in with Health and Wellness Services.

Info session for virtual seminar: Film & the Italian Aesthetic

Spend three weeks in May and June studying film, art and the culture of Rome! You'll have the opportunity to hear guest lectures from Rome-based archeologists, historians and architects. You will also get a virtual guided tour of Rome, be able to meet local Italian students and maybe even participate in a virtual cooking class! This program is virtual and led by Cinema Studies Professor Suranjan Ganguly.

Ralphie’s Cooking Basics: Italian spinach skillet

Ask a friend to join you in making delicious Italian spinach skillet with the Center for Student Involvement. Participants will be able to pick up a food kit and cook with fellow Buffs in a virtual setting. Vegetarian options will be available for all classes. Learn more about Ralphie’s Cooking Basics.

Guided paint class

 6:30 p.m. Virtual
Engage with other Buffs and learn how to paint Aspen trees through this guided paint class with the Center for Student Involvement (CSI). All supplies are included and can be picked up on campus. Space is limited, so be sure to register early to reserve your spot!

Program Council Film Series: The Great Gatsby

Bring your popcorn, grab a friend and come watch The Great Gatsby. Based on the novel by F. Scott Fitgerald, The Great Gatsby is the story about a writer and Wall Street trader, Nick, who finds himself drawn to the past and lifestyle of his millionaire neighbor, Jay Gatsby.

Free Friday Power Hour: Cycle

 4–5 p.m.  Rec Center
Come get your body moving before the weekend and join the Rec Center’s Free Friday Power Hour fitness classes. This results-driven cycling class will provide immediate fitness data through your power console, and is designed to provide a positive experience for all fitness levels.
