Monday, Aug. 26

I Love Mondays: Iced Coffee

10 a.m. to 12 p.m.  UMC Fountain Area

Start your first week of school off right with free iced coffee in the UMC Fountain area and learn about student involvement.

CUnity Fest

4–7 p.m.  Regent Administrative Center Lawn

Celebrate the diversity within the CU Boulder community with good food and information about the many diverse cultural student organizations, campus departments and resources available to you.

Trivia Night: Marvel Universe

7 p.m.  UMC Dining Room Stage

Spidey Sense won’t help you here. From Thor’s age to Star-Lord’s dad, test your knowledge of some of Marvel’s most entertaining characters.

Rocky Mountain Showdown Blood Drive

9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.  The Rec Center Ice Overlook Room

Help CU beat CSU in the annual Rocky Mountain Showdown blood drive. Schedule an appointment or text/call 720-333-0675 with questions.

CU Collegiate Recovery Center Sober Social

6–8 p.m.  University Memorial Center, room 411

Check out the CU Collegiate Recovery Center and learn about this peer support community that provides recovery support services for substance use and other addictive behaviors. Free food!

Be Involved Fair

2–6 p.m.  Norlin Quad

Perhaps the most well-attended networking event of the school year, the Be Involved Fair is your annual opportunity to learn about student groups and organizations on campus, find new volunteer possibilities and get involved in the CU Boulder community. There will also be free food and giveaways.


Thursday, Aug. 29

New Student Organization Open House

10 a.m. to 4 p.m.  UMC room 330

Friday, Aug. 30

International Coffee Hour

4–5:30 p.m. UMC Main Dining Area

Stop by this weekly event for free coffee, tea and snacks. This is a great opportunity to connect with the international community here at CU Boulder. Units from across campus also frequently join the event to share information about the student services they provide. 

Rocky Mountain Showdown

8 p.m. Broncos Stadium at Mile High

Get out and support the Buffs as they open their 2019 football schedule against the CSU Rams in the annual Rocky Mountain Showdown. Go Buffs!
