Ralphie’s Cooking Basics

Going away to college for the first time is hard for many reasons, least of which is you may have to start cooking for yourself. But fear not! The Center for Student Involvement has got you covered with free cooking classes every Thursday from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Alfred Packer Grill. This Thursday you’ll learn how to cook teriyaki chicken and rice and then get to feast on your creation. Don’t forget your closed-toed shoes.

Pearl Street Stampede

Every night before a big home football game, the CU and local Boulder communities come together for a huge parade running the length of Pearl Street Mall, featuring the CU Marching Band, dancers and cheerleaders, and a vintage fire truck—not to mention your very own football boys and coaching staff. The celebration starts at 7 p.m., so get in on the party and dress to impress in your Colorado attire.

Entrepreneurs Unplugged: Jim Packer

Entrepreneurs Unplugged is a recurring event where you can indulge your interest in business and learn about the process of founding a startup. Boulder is fertile ground for new, passionate ideas and innovative thinkers. This week’s meeting from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Wittemyer Courtroom of Wolf Law features Jim Packer, the president of worldwide TV and digital distribution at Lionsgate, to inspire, answer questions and help you start your own process. This event is free for CU Boulder students.

Full Dome Show: Bella Gaia

Fiske Planetarium hosts a number of moving full-dome shows, but this one is perhaps the most incredible. Bella Gaia is a multi-media performance featuring music and dance combined with NASA footage of Earth from space. Spend an evening under the dome celebrating life on Earth. Tickets are $10 each, and the show starts at 7 p.m.
