Auditing Courses

The Senior Auditors Program and the Community Auditors Program is suspended for Fall 2020 due to coronavirus impacts on campus.
Please check back for updates regarding Spring 2021.

Interested in auditing a theatre or dance class? Read the specific information below pertaining to current students, community and senior auditors, and nondegree students.

Current CU Students

Current CU students may take dance or theatre courses for no credit. Students may enroll in a class and change the grading basis to No Credit Basis (Audit). The student would pay tuition and be officially enrolled, but would receive a grade of 'NC' for the class, which does not impact GPA.

Community & Senior Auditors

Community

Certain individuals under the age of 55 who are not registered students may be able to audit regularly scheduled classes by enrolling as a community auditor. For more information, visit Community Auditors or contact the Division of Continuing Education at 303-492-5148.

Senior Auditors

Colorado residents ages 55 and over should visit Senior Auditors or contact the Alumni Association at 303-492-8484.

Nondegree Students

Nondegree students are able to enroll in CU Boulder Main Campus courses through Continuing Education. Some ACCESS students take courses for personal or professional development, while others plan to enroll in a degree program at CU Boulder in the future.

Note: non-Lecture, participatory courses (voice, choral, dance, painting, pottery, computer, theatre, photography, musical instrument, etc.) are restricted and may not be available to Community Auditors. See Continuing Education's list of available courses for details.
