Classes

Register for Class

Classes are held Mon-Fri, 9:00 – 12:00PM. Class size is 5 students.

In this weeklong course, students learn the basics of safely operating the manual knee-type milling machine, and the manual lathe. Fundamental machining principles, basic metrology, appropriate safety precautions/PPE, and shop technique are taught through two machining projects.

Students will learn the safety precautions, setup, and use of MIG, and TIG welding machines. Students will gain access to the weld/fabrication area of the shop after completing the course.
