Students who are looking for apartments have many options in Boulder and the surrounding communities.  Students can search for available studio, one-bedroom, two-bedroom, or three-bedroom apartments.  Some apartments come with furniture, but do not include linens, dishes or cooking utensils.  Most apartments are unfurnished and are completely empty when you move in.  Many students want a shared rental with other students or a private room in a house.  Depending on what you are looking for and the time of year that you arrive, you can find housing to fit your needs.

In Boulder, the rent for one bedroom / one bathroom in an unfurnished, shared apartment is approximately $1,300.  There are additional costs for off-campus housing including utilities, internet access and cable television service.

IEC students can use the University affiliated resource, Ralphie’s List, for finding housing.  There is an Apartment Complex Guide on Ralphie’s List that provides information for several local apartment complexes and Boulder property management companies.  More information about renting an apartment can be found at CU's Off-Campus housing site. For additional assistance, the University Off-Campus Housing & Neighborhood Relations created the Off-Campus Housing Guide for International Students.

Students living off-campus also have the possibility to buy Student Meal Plans.
