Remote Courses
This course is designed for international graduate students and professionals who want to polish and refine their spoken English skills. The course emphasizes producing increasingly accurate English stress, rhythm and intonation, and vowels and consonants. Students participate in listening and speaking activities targeting specific pronunciation features, prepare recordings, and deliver short presentations related to their field. Students receive weekly individualized feedback.

In this English for a Sustainable Future class, students learn about the environment and explore vital topics related to ecological conservation and sustainability while developing their English reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills. Through a variety of online learning experiences that are guided by your professor, you will immerse yourself virtually in the vibrant CU and Boulder scientific communities and learn about organizations that work to protect local and global ecosystems through innovative stewardship solutions. This class incorporates the United Nations SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) and includes projects and course materials focusing on STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) fields.

The IEC is proud to present its high quality language courses in an online format.
Attend the scheduled course with an instructor twice a week and complete additional coursework online at your convenience.
For each course, you will meet with an instructor and classmates at a scheduled time online on Zoom (synchronous), and complete additional coursework on your own time (asynchronous.)

Take our online placement test to find out your English proficiency level. The test includes sections in Reading Comprehension, Listening, and Grammar. Once you complete your application, you will receive an email with a link and password to take the test.
