Tuition for incoming first-year and transfer undergraduate students is changing from previous years. Starting with fall semester 2022, tuition will be assessed based on your area of study, instead of only your college or school. This new tiered tuition structure better reflects differences in the cost of instruction. In addition, CU Boulder continues to offer the Tuition Guarantee which helps keep costs predictable for undergraduate students and their families over the course of four years.

The estimates below are intended to give you an idea of direct university costs by semester and year. These rates apply to new undergraduate students whose first term of enrollment is Fall 2022 or later, and prospective students and families. Allowances for indirect costs such as transportation and other personal expenses, which are considered when applying for financial aid, are not included here.

Prospective students and families: Next year's tuition and fees will be published on or around May 1, after approval by the Board of Regents and finalization by Budget and Fiscal Planning. Thank you for your patience.
