she, her, hers

Kate Feldman has been a part of the Academic Advising Center since 2015. She advised students in English and Cinema Studies for 4 years before moving into her current role as Assistant Director for Psychology & Neuroscience. Before coming to CU Boulder, Kate lived in New York City for 7 years, where she earned her master’s degree in Psychological Counseling from Teacher’s College at Columbia University, and worked for several years in student affairs with the Executive MBA programs at Columbia Business School.

Kate graduated with a BA in History from Princeton University (after starting out as a pre-med Biology major), and began her career at a small historic preservation firm in Washington, DC. She went back to school for a post-baccalaureate certificate in psychology prior to starting her master's program, which focused on school counseling. Kate moved toward higher education after realizing she was passionate about helping students to navigate their academic pathways, particularly during times of growth and challenge.

Outside of work, Kate loves to spend time with family, including her young toddler and Norwegian Elkhound puppy. She enjoys hiking, camping, traveling, reading, and trying out new restaurants, and as a Northeasterner at heart, is very open to suggestions on where to find the best pizza and bagels in Colorado!
