she, her, hers
Originally from Texas, ElizaGarcia is a first-generation college graduate with a bachelor's in General Studies and concentrations in Education and Family Studies. She is currently pursuing a master’s in Higher Education Administration and is passionate about access, equity, and helping students from all backgrounds reach their goals. Her advising philosophy centers on empathy, encouragement, and creating inclusive spaces where students feel seen, supported, and empowered.
Before transitioning into higher education, Eliza worked with nonprofits focused on supporting at-risk middle school youth, an experience that sparked her interest in helping students navigate academic systems and build confidence in their abilities. Since then, she has served as an academic advisor for diverse student populations in Texas.
Outside of work, Eliza enjoys spending time with her dachshund Jack, attending concerts and music festivals, reading, shopping, and exploring new coffee shops. As she prepares for her move to Colorado, she’s especially looking forward to experiencing the state’s diverse natural beauty and taking advantage of all the outdoor adventures it has to offer.
