Chanel Figueroa

Chanel G. Figueroa is a two-time alumna of Florida International University, where she earned both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in social work. She began her advising career in 2016, supporting students at Florida International University and the University of Colorado Boulder across STEM, Exploratory Studies, Education, and Psychology. Chanel is passionate about guiding students and fostering a supportive environment where they can thrive, helping them achieve both their academic goals and personal aspirations.

A first-generation graduate whose family is originally from the Dominican Republic, Chanel was born and raised in Watsonville, California, and spent an equal part of her life in South Florida before returning to Colorado. She values family deeply and enjoys spending quality time with her husband and son. Outside of work, Chanel loves exploring the outdoors, anything fall-related, traveling, attending San Francisco Giants games, and collecting owls, which hold a special meaning for her.
