Anna Wynfield

Mondays 11am-12pm by zoom
(MA Anthropology, 2021, University of Colorado Boulder; BA Anthropology, 2012, University of Colorado Boulder). Anna's research focuses on prenatal care, reproductive politics, and the production of knowledge from clinical research trials. Before pursuing graduate school, she worked with clinical trials for cancer research, which inspired her to study how advancements in medical knowledge and standards of care influence patient experiences. As an undergraduate, Anna’s thesis explored ethnographic experiences of oxytocin administration during labor and childbirth. Her MA research focused on how pregnant patients navigated Covid-19 vaccination decisions during the first months of vaccine rollout. Anna's advisor is Donna Goldstein.
